Are you already familiar with the FFHA browser extension tool (SSHY-selainlaajennus) available for our association's image database? It enables e.g. better image size and image position control, zooming and moving the image on the screen. In addition, at the top of a single image you can find the source reference for the image to use in your genealogy database. Features are available as an extension for Chrome and an add-on for Firefox.
New features:
- Drag to move the image
- Enlarging and reducing the image. You can resize the image 20 percent at a time.
- Also works with the mouse wheel and the Ctrl + and Ctrl- keys.
- Image rotation by 90 degrees clockwise or counterclockwise.
- Restoring of the original image (size and position)
- Source reference generation. As in Digihakemisto (digital index), the source reference link is also on the page at the top.
- Image upload to your computer. The name of the file includes, for example, the name of the parish, etc.
The features are described in more detail on the download pages below.
The extension can be downloaded for Chrome and Firefox from the following links:
- Chrome
- Firefox
In addition, the source reference link can now also be found in the image database without the extension
Many thanks to Kari Kujansuu, the author of the extension!
