10 TB of data does not migrate to new servers in an instant, and in any case, it takes time to process the images. Image conversions could not be made to while the process was ongoing. The data on the old server has now been transferred in its entirety and we have started making a dent on the material that accumulated during the long wait.
Our association has got inquiries about the upcoming material in the image database. Image conversion is ongoing, and more material is coming to the image database. Due to the nature of the conversions and the steps involved, new books might not show up daily in the database. Usually the pictures are processed in the place / book type groups, for example, all of the communion books of the parish at once, then records of births, marriages and deaths, then other books. Depending on the size of the parish and the number of books, the work being done prior to publishing the images may take several days during which nothing visible will occur. Then several dozens of books (thousands, even tens of thousands of pictures) appear in a single cluster.
During the late summer and autumn, other materials, such as those from the courts, police stations and schools, as well as registers, are coming in addition to parish records. It is noteworthy that most of the pictures of the parish material are already in the database, but have now been digitized from the original source. A more specific release schedule will be posted by the end of August.
